Hasumi International Research Foundation (HIRF)
was incorporated as a nonprofit organization on
January 29, 1999, in Philadelphia, under the laws
of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania of the United
States of America, and it has been move to the current
location in Washington DC. The Hasumi Foundation
intends to qualify as a tax exempt organization
as specified in Section 501(c)3 of the Internal
Revenue Code. The Hasumi Foundation will be seeking
support from public and private sources to further
its cancer research program and activities.
The primary purpose of the HIRF is to conduct
and support scientific research in connection
with finding a cure for various forms of cancer,
particularly with the use of immunotherapy. Its
mission also is to develop a highly sophisticated
database and network system for the collection
and dissemination of valuable data from cancer
research and treatment throughout the world. Currently,
HIRF is supporting cancer research and related
program/activities in the United States, Japan,
Taiwan, China, and Bulgaria.
