Dr. Tyler J. CURIEL (2006)
Dr. Curiel received his B.S. in Chemistry in 1977 from
the University of Georgia. He received his M.D. in 1982
from Duke Medical School and received his M.P.H. in
1983 from Harvard University. He completed an internship
in Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine
and Yale-New Haven Hospital from 1983-1984 and completed
his residency in Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital
in 1986. He was a Clinical and Research Fellow in Infectious
Diseases and in Medicine from 1986-1990 at Harvard Medical
School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Curiel
was a Clinical and Research Fellow in Medical Oncology
from 1995-1997 at the University of Colorado Health
Sciences Center. He was an Associate Investigator at
the Baylor Institute for Immunology Research from 1997-2001.
He joined the Tulane faculty in August 2001. At present
he is the Henderson Professor of Medicine, chief of
hematology and medical oncology and the director of
the general clinical research center.
